Netherlands, Blitterswijck. Ferry boat just in front of restaurant and B&B 'Tante Jet aan de Maas'. (Aunt Jet along the Maas river) which is located in a former 'veerhuis (ferry house) that was owned in the past by Aunt Jet. A Veerhuis was the place where people who had to wait for the ferry could have a drink or a quick bite and meet eachother. In the past days the 'Veerhuis was an importtant meeting place. Specialy for young couples who met often at the Veerhuis when one of the lovers lived across the river. So the walls of the 'Veerhuis witnessed many romatic stories but also many aspect of daily life, but the ferry itself is still an attractive transport for hikers and bikers
