Netherlands, Rijnsburg. The famous philosopher Spinoza (1632-1677) was born in Amsterdam, but moved to the village of Rijnsburg in 1660. His former house, where he constructed optical instruments and wrote down his ideas, was completely renovated and turned into a museum in 1897.
