This is called 'droogvallen'.It means something like; 'run aground', but then on purpose. The idea is to look for a shallow place or a mudflat at high tide and when it's getting low tide the ship wil gradualy stand clear of the water, so the persons on board can walk around the boat on the mudflat. Here the people are waiting for low tide.
