Netherlands, Heeswijk-Dinther. Monk reading a book in the chapel of the abbey of Berne in Heeswijk-Dinter. The abbey was founded in 1134 by Fulco van Berne. He invited the order of the Norbertines to live in his castle. Unfortunately, the Norbertines fell victim to persecution. It was only in 1858 that they took shelter in their current abbey.
